A brand groups organizations in your account under one customer-facing name. An account can have several brands; each organization belongs to at most one. Offices are not selected separately.
Open settings
Log in as an administrator with permission to manage extensions. Open Extensions, find Customer portal and connect or enable it if needed, following the extension guide. Click Configure.
Create or edit a brand
- Click Add brand. Complete the required Customer-facing name field and select at least one item in Organizations. If there is only one available organization, it is selected automatically.
- Available organizations belong to your account and are not assigned to another brand. Archived and inactive organizations are also listed.
- Optionally choose Primary color from the palette. Reset restores the default Pulse color. Enter Support phone, Support email and a full HTTP or HTTPS Website address if needed. These fields are optional.
- To change a brand, click Edit brand and update its details. In Organizations, you can add available organizations or deselect previously selected ones. At least one organization must remain in the brand.
Configure features
Open a new brand or click Edit brand on the required one. In Customer portal features, select the functions available for this brand. Changes do not affect other brands; organizations and their offices use their own brand’s settings. A new brand has Profile, Contracts, Amount due, View documents, Download documents and Notifications enabled, with Sign through the customer portal disabled.
- Choose which features should be available. Amount due and View documents require Contracts; Download documents requires View documents. Signing requires Contracts and View documents. You can enable Sign through the customer portal for this brand when customers need to obtain their code there.
- Click Save once: the brand details and its features are saved together. If the settings conflict with dependencies, the system explains what to change. Other options are not changed automatically. Correct your selections and save again. Reopen this brand and check the result.
Disabling Notifications does not cancel a signature request or replace the Sign through the customer portal setting.
Disabling the Customer portal extension in Extensions blocks portal access for all brands in this account. It does not affect other accounts.
Move an organization to another brand
- Open Edit brand for the original brand, deselect the organization in Organizations and save the changes. You cannot remove the last organization.
- Open Edit brand for the other brand, select the now-available organization and save. You cannot select an organization that still belongs to another brand.
Changing brand membership does not change contracts, offices, files or signatures and does not delete history. An organization must belong to a brand to be displayed in the customer portal.
Add a logo
- Save the brand first, then open its settings. In Logo, upload one PNG, JPEG or WebP image up to 2 MB.
- To replace it, delete the current logo and upload a new one. Logo changes are saved immediately, independently of other form fields.
Check the result
Reopen the brand and check its name, organizations, contacts and logo. If saving fails, correct the marked fields and try again. If Configure is unavailable, ask your administrator to check the extension status and your permissions.
Applications and API
In the customer portal settings, open the Applications and API tab. It is available to administrators with permission to manage extensions. A connection is intended for a third-party application server; the partner authenticates its own users.
- Click Create connection. Enter the Connection name and explicitly select Brands, Organizations and the necessary Allowed actions. Each selected organization must belong to a selected brand. Both restrictions apply together: selecting a brand does not open access to other organizations.
- For Status, select Enabled or Disabled. Click Save.
- Copy the displayed Client identifier and Client secret. The secret is shown only once. Give it to the person responsible for the application server and store it only on that server, not in the mobile application or browser code.
- Reopen the connection and check its name, selected brands, organizations, actions and status. The saved secret is not shown again; only safe connection details remain available.
In an existing connection’s settings, you can change its scope and actions or suspend access by setting it to Disabled. Adding an organization to a brand does not automatically add it to the connection’s previously selected scope.
- If the secret is lost, the window was closed before saving it, or the response was not received, use Reissue secret. Confirm and save the new secret: the old secret and previously issued tokens will stop working.
- To permanently end access, select Revoke and confirm. Revocation is irreversible: this connection cannot be restored, but its details and history are preserved.
Disabling the Customer portal extension revokes previously issued connection tokens. After enabling it again, the partner server must obtain a new access token using the same client identifier and secret; reissuing the secret is not required. Permanently revoked connections remain revoked. For a 429 response, wait as specified by Retry-After before trying again; do not retry continuously. Limits apply independently to each connection.
This tab manages connections and credentials. Creating a connection does not start loan operations or enable document signing.
How the customer chooses a pawnshop
After signing in, customers see the brands available to them under the customer-facing names you configured. A single available brand is selected automatically. When several are available, customers choose one from the list and can then switch pawnshops in the portal header. They do not need to select a branch office separately.
A disabled customer portal does not appear among available pawnshops. Other available pawnshops remain accessible. If none remain, the customer sees “No pawnshops available” and a recommendation to contact their pawnshop.
What the customer sees on Home
After choosing a pawnshop, open Home. If an employee has sent a request to review documents, a “Documents are ready” card appears. Select “Review documents” to open them. If a code has already been issued, the request still awaits the employee’s confirmation; open the documents to continue.
The summary card shows how many active pledges you have. Select “All contracts” to open the full list. “Nearest due date” shows the date, whether it is the main term or grace period, and the contract number; an expired term is marked explicitly. Select “Open contract” to check its terms.
Under “Contact the pawnshop”, use “Call” or “Pawnshop website” for the selected pawnshop. If no phone number or website is available but an email address is provided, you can send an email. Home has no pledge list, amounts, or online payments.
If there are no active pledges, including when all contracts are closed, a separate message links to Contracts. Current document requests and contacts remain available; a missing due date is not shown. Disabled contract viewing has its own message. If loading fails, select Retry. Switching pawnshops loads that pawnshop’s data.
How a customer views contracts
- Open “Contracts” and select “All”, “In progress”, “Active” or “Closed”. Scroll down: more records load automatically, 10 at a time.
- Select “Open” on the required contract. The card shows the organization, a short loan summary and pledged items. Amounts owed appear when available for the brand. “Detailed terms” expands the tariff parameters. “Branch” shows the name, address and available phone, website and email immediately, without expanding a list. Select a contact to use it. You can also open a contract from Home.
- Expand “Operation history”: it loads separately. Documents use a separate action without listing pages or versions in the contract card. Payments and self-service signing are not performed here.
How a customer opens and downloads documents
- Select “Open document” in the contract. If there is one package, its PDF opens directly inside the portal. If there are several, choose the required operation; other packages remain available on subsequent pages. Use scrolling, page navigation and zoom.
- Select a document under “Documents in this package”. “Document versions” lets you open the current or a saved signed version. “Full package” returns to the combined PDF.
- To save the open package or selected version, select “Download PDF”. This action is available when “Document downloads” is enabled for the brand. Disabling downloads does not prevent viewing.
- “Back to contract” returns to the contract. Opening, scrolling and downloading do not acknowledge review or sign documents.
If the package has changed, select “Open documents”. If documents are still being prepared, open them later; contact your pawnshop if preparation fails or the file is unavailable. You can retry a failed download: viewing a file does not automatically save it.
If “Signing time expired” appears, select “Back to contract” and contact a staff member at your pawnshop.
A signed but cancelled loan origination remains under “Closed”, marked “Loan application cancelled”. Unsigned cancelled drafts are not shown. If loading fails, select “Try again”; an empty list and unavailable viewing have different messages.
How customers view payments
- Open Payments. It shows payments for the selected pawnshop: date, purpose, contract, amount with currency, and status.
- To view payments for one contract, open its card and select Payment history. All payments returns to the selected pawnshop’s full history. Scroll down: more payments load automatically, 10 at a time.
- Click the contract number in a payment entry to open its card.
- If Receipt is available, click it. Availability is checked again. On the web, the receipt opens in the current tab; use the browser Back button to return. In the Android/iOS app, the receipt opens in a browser window over the portal. Close it to return to payments.
Cancelling or correcting an accounting entry does not mean a bank refund. An unavailable receipt does not mean that the payment was not recorded. If loading fails, click Retry; empty history and unavailable access have separate messages. Online payment is not performed here.
How customers use profile and help
- Open Profile. Personal details shows the full name and Phone on record for each available customer record. Sign-in phone is shown separately and may differ. A missing phone is not replaced with another number. Contact your pawnshop to correct details; the portal does not allow editing.
- Under Settings, choose Language or Theme: System default, Light, or Dark. The choice applies to the open app until it restarts or the page fully reloads.
- Under Contact the pawnshop, use the available Call, Email, or Open website actions. These are the selected pawnshop’s contacts, not Pulse support. The portal reports missing contacts or opening failures and does not offer a broken link.
- To end the session, select Sign out.
If the pawnshop disables profile viewing, personal details and contact actions are unavailable, but language, theme, and sign-out remain available. A loading error does not mean missing data: select Try again. Switching pawnshops reloads the profile and contacts.
Sign through the customer portal
With Sign through the customer portal enabled, customers receive a request for a loan or electronically signed redemption. They open the documents, select Review documents and tell the employee the displayed code. Opening documents or obtaining a code does not sign the package.
