Set a selling price for a product in store and have it confirmed. The product then appears as “On display”. This prepares the price; the sale, payment and price tag printing are separate actions.
Check the product and your access
- Open “Products → Catalog” and find the item. Check its number, name, organization, office and linked contract.
- Make sure the product is already “In the store”. Confirming a price does not move a pledged, transferred or sold product into the store.
- Check your access to the product's office. Editing store prices and confirming them require different permissions: an appraiser can edit a price, and a territory manager can confirm it. An administrator can also confirm prices for products they can access.
- If editing is unavailable, read the reason next to the action. For example, an unfinished product operation blocks editing; the product and contract states must also allow changes to store prices.
Understand the two prices
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Minimum sale amount | The lowest permitted price. This field can be empty; if you fill it in, enter a positive amount. |
| Selling price | The price confirmed by the responsible employee and used on the price tag. Confirmation requires a positive amount at least as high as the specified minimum. The current form accepts a whole number. |
These fields do not replace the amount paid to the customer or the appraisal amount recorded on intake. An empty or zero selling price cannot be confirmed to prepare the product for sale.
Edit the prices
- Find “Minimum sale amount” and “Selling price” in the catalog. In the relevant cell, click “Set price” or “Change”.
- Enter the amount and click the checkmark or press Enter. To discard the change, click cancel or press Escape.
- Wait for the save to finish and check the displayed amount. If an error appears, correct the value according to the message and save again.
- To change several fields, open product editing and enter both prices in the full form. Do not leave the selling price below the minimum; check both saved amounts in the catalog before confirmation.
Changing either price removes the previous confirmation. The product returns to “Awaiting confirmation”, and the badge changes from “On display” to “In the store”. If the selling price is cleared or set to zero, it shows “Price not specified”.
Saving the same amounts does not remove confirmation. Changing only the price tag name or description neither confirms a new price nor removes the existing price confirmation.
Confirm the selling price
- The responsible employee opens the catalog and checks the product, its office, minimum sale amount and selling price.
- For an item awaiting confirmation, click “Confirm price” in the “Selling price” cell. This confirms the current saved price.
- After a successful response, check “Confirmed”, the confirming employee and the confirmation time in the catalog or product details.
- Check the “On display” badge. There is no separate action to turn it on: the product remains in store, and the badge means its price is confirmed.
Price confirmation does not mean the product has physically been put on display, its tag printed or its sale completed. Other sale requirements, including the product's origin, the employee's permissions and category requirements, are checked separately when starting the sale.
Use My tasks
When an office has products in store with positive unconfirmed prices, an active territory manager with access to the office and price confirmation permission receives a task. One task groups all such products in the office and shows their count. Administrators are not automatically assigned this task queue.
- Open the price confirmation task in “My tasks”.
- Use its action to open the catalog, with the relevant office and the pending price confirmation filter selected.
- Check and confirm the prices on the products themselves. Opening the task does not confirm any price.
- When the office's last pending price is confirmed, the task closes for the manager who performed the action. The same queue closes for other managers too. A later price change can create a new task.
A product without a positive selling price is excluded from this queue. The absence of a task therefore does not prove readiness: find the product in the catalog and check its price and confirmation. In the condition filter, “In store” shows unconfirmed products and “On display” shows confirmed products; selecting both includes both groups.
If the result differs from what you expected
- If there is no edit or confirmation button, ask the administrator to check your role's permissions and office access.
- If confirmation is rejected because of the price, enter a positive selling price and compare it with the minimum sale amount.
- If a previously confirmed product is back “In the store”, check the change history and both prices. Price changes require confirmation again.
- If the task remains after all prices are confirmed, refresh the tasks and catalog. If the mismatch persists, ask the administrator to check the queue; do not change prices just to close the task.
