Closing the device, saving a closed shift in the application and signing the cash package are separate results. You need office access and cash operation permission; in PEP mode, the responsible employee also needs shift signing permission.
Before closing
- Check the workplace, device name and cashier in “Cash register”. Finish operations and check receipts and outstanding actions for this office.
- Reconcile cash. Cashless payment parts do not count towards the cash balance. You may print an “X-report” separately; printing it does not close the shift or prove balances match.
- If “Shift is not ready to close” appears, resolve the listed causes and run the check again. Reconciliation itself creates no deposit or withdrawal. Do not bypass a problem by forcing a close.
Close in manual mode
Click “Close” and confirm. Wait for the device command and saved result. After the widget refreshes, check “Closed”. Manual mode does not confirm the cash package by code; prepare paper documents under your organization's procedure.
Close in PEP mode
- The responsible employee of the open shift clicks “Close shift”. After readiness checks, the application prepares the cash sheet and orders package and opens signing.
- Select your phone and available channel, request and confirm the code. The code window does not preview documents. While the package is prepared, new movements and regular shift edits are unavailable. Closing the window before signing cancels the unsigned preparation.
- After signing, wait for physical device closing and the saved result. The employee signature alone does not mean the device is closed. A controller then receives a review task and signs the closed shift separately.
Check saved closing
Under “Accounting” → “Cashier shifts”, open the correct record. Check the office, device, number, “Closed” status, closing time, totals and final cash balance. “Opened” filters opening dates, not closing dates. Dates use the selected workplace's time zone. Check controller signature status separately from shift state.
If the command or saving fails
In the prepared PEP process, “Retry KKM close” becomes available after signing. Use it after checking the cause: the application continues closing the same package without a new code, using the saved command. If that command already closed the device, the application may finish saving without a second physical close.
Ordinary manual closing does not guarantee this recovery. The device may have closed while saving failed. Check the actual state and record with the responsible employee before new commands. Do not open a new shift or repeat money movements or receipts just to correct the display.
