When closing a cash shift, the application may open “Shift is not ready to close”. It shows causes, affected record counts and links to check them. Establish the cause first, resolve it through the normal action, then try closing again.

Check the office and affected records

Make sure the workplace and device belong to the required shift. Operations, products and incoming transfers are checked against the office's entire current state: records may predate the shift. Receipt and named order checks belong to the shift itself.

Each category shows at most five links. “More records” means the issues are not limited to visible rows. After resolving them, another check shows the remaining ones. Opening and changing linked objects requires the corresponding access.

Investigate the cause

Cause What to check and do
Unfinished operations Open linked operations and check their current step and result. Complete them normally or cancel where permitted. Completed and cancelled operations do not block this check.
Products without photos Open the listed products and upload saved photos. Make sure uploading finished; selecting a temporary file does not mean the product has a stored photo.
Incoming product transfers Open the transfer, check the received products and accept it. This check concerns incoming transfers waiting for the recipient.
Incoming cash transfers Open the transfer and check its stage, amount, device command and saved movements. After an acceptance error, establish the previous device result before any repeated command.
Unprinted receipts The link opens the shift card. Check the error, device result and saved receipt. Do not print again solely because a mark is missing: the previous command may already have executed.
Unsigned named PKO/RKO orders Sign the order in the cash register widget. “Sign” is available to the actual signer. In PEP mode this is mandatory even if additional closing control is disabled.
Cash balance mismatch Compare “Cash in the register X-report”, “System cash balance” and “Difference”. Review the cash parts of receipts, deposits, withdrawals and saved transfer results.
Device balance unavailable Check the device connection and state. A closed device, error response or missing reliable balance prevents ordinary reconciliation of an open shift.

Understand cash reconciliation

Reconciliation reads the current device balance but does not automatically print an X-report. The application compares cash movements; the cashless part of a split payment is excluded. A difference of one kopeck or more blocks closing when the check is enabled.

The check does not correct balances or perform a deposit or withdrawal. Do not create a new movement to make the figures match before establishing what happened to the money. Give the responsible person the shift number, device, amounts, error and earlier command results.

If the package is already prepared or signed

A prepared package blocks new cash operations. Before the employee signs, closing the signing window cancels preparation; wait for successful cancellation. After signing, ordinary cancellation is unavailable. For a device error, use “Retry KKM close” after checking the cause: the application continues the saved command without a new code.

“Waiting for controller” does not confirm physical closing. Check the shift state. Disabling checks or forcing a close does not correct operations, receipts or cash. Signed documents are changed through a separate correction process.
