A tariff defines interest calculation terms for a loan or commission agreement. Set rates and restrictions, check the calculation and save the tariff for the correct organization. A goods purchase under a purchase and sale agreement does not require tariff selection when the operation starts.
Before you begin
- Select your working office. The new tariff will belong to that office's organization; the form has no separate organization selector.
- You need permission to view tariffs and to perform the relevant action: creating, copying or editing. The calculator requires access to it and permission to create transactions.
- Prepare your organization's approved rates, terms, allowed amounts and customer restrictions.
How to create a tariff
- Open “Extensions”. In the “Contract tariffs” card, click “Open” to open the “Tariffs” list.
- Click “Create tariff”. Enter a clear name, “Interest calculation method” and “Day calculation method”.
- Set “Valid from”. Leave “Valid until” empty for a tariff without an expiry date. The end date must not precede the start date.
- In “Product category”, select suitable product types. An empty selection means “All categories”.
- In “Interest rates by period”, fill in “From day”, “To day” and “Rate (% per day)”. Click “Add rate” for the next interval. Start from day one, check all required days and avoid overlapping intervals.
- Specify “Minimum term (days)”, “Grace period (days)” and “Grace period rate (%)”. Minimum interest is calculated using rates for the minimum number of days; the grace period follows the tariff's main term.
- Set “Minimum loan amount” and, if needed, “Maximum loan amount”. An empty maximum means no upper limit. If needed, enable “New customers only” and “One-time use”.
- Check “Active” and click “Create tariff”. Its card opens with saved terms and the “Rates” tab.
If you fill in “Comment”, remember that it is included in the tariff description on the transaction card.
For loans, “Fixed” calculation restarts the rate schedule after a full extension. “Tiered” continues counting from the transaction's opening. A partial extension does not restart the count.
The “Minimum fee (%)” field currently does not set a minimum payment. Do not treat its value as a guaranteed minimum amount or percentage: the actual minimum is calculated using rates and “Minimum term (days)”.
How to check the result
- On the card, check rates, dates, categories, amounts, active status and customer restrictions.
- On the home page, open “Tariff calculator” using the calculator icon in the header, if available. Select a tariff and enter “Loan amount” and “Conclusion date”.
- Choose “By day” and fill in “Number of loan days”, or “By date” and set “Maturity date”. Check minimum interest, terms, accruals and “Amount to be repaid”. A warning about an amount outside the tariff limits does not block this preliminary calculation.
- When starting an operation for a transaction, check that the tariff is available for selection. Selection considers the transaction's own organization, the tariff's active status and dates, product types, amount and customer restrictions.
The calculator does not create a transaction or confirm that a customer may use a tariff. Check an existing transaction's own accruals and balances.
How to change terms and view versions
- Open the tariff and click “Edit”. Change the required fields. When changing calculation terms of a tariff already in use, specify the new terms' start date in “Valid from”.
- Click “Save changes”. If transactions already use the tariff and rates or other calculation parameters have changed, a new version is created. Earlier transactions retain their version; their terms are not replaced automatically.
- If multiple versions exist, open the “Versions” tab. Compare dates and open the required record. An archived version can be viewed but cannot be edited. “Go to current version →” opens the latest version.
After saving, check the result message and version list. If a new version starts in the future, the earlier one may remain available until its expiry. To create a separate tariff, use the copy button on the card, then check and change the copied terms.
To stop using a tariff in new operations, clear “Active” while editing and save changes. This is different from an archived version. Do not delete a tariff already in use to disable it: deletion may disrupt access to earlier transactions' terms and calculations. This section has no separate action for restoring a deleted tariff.
If a problem occurs
- The tariff is not offered in an operation. Check the transaction's organization, dates, “Active”, categories and amount. New customer eligibility considers previously completed transactions in this organization; one-time use checks usage of the selected tariff version.
- Rates cannot be saved. Check that at least one interval exists, its first day is at least 1, its last day is not earlier, the rate is between 0 and 100, and intervals do not overlap.
- The entered number of days changed. If the form replaces an interval boundary with a different number, do not save the incorrect term. Ask an administrator to check the setting.
- The calculator is empty or tariffs will not load. Check your working office, active tariffs with valid dates and access permissions. An archived version cannot be changed: open the current one.
